Harvey H. Haynes

Harvey H. Haynes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Haynes, was born Sept. 29, 1947, in St. Joseph, MO. He has a younger sister, Judy Ann.

Outside of school activities he has received the Eagle Award and God and Country Award in scouting.  Besides this, he is president of his church’s youth fellowship.

Harvey has attended MCHS all of his 12 years of school and has received many honors. He was elected president of the band. He recently received the State Farmer Award and received #1 rating in farm mechanics at the State contest. 

He has participated in football four years, receiving honorable mention all-conference his senior year. He also was one of the starters for the 275 Conference Champions in basketball this year. He has participated in basketball four years and in track three years.

Harvey plans to attend the University of Missouri next fall and plans to major in Veterinary Medicine. His favorite pastimes are coin collecting, shooting firecrackers, chasing girls, participating in sports, eating lots of food, keeping out of trouble, observing misplaced objects in pastures, and eating more food.—JL.
