On the first day of school in 1963, the MCHS halls shone a little brighter when Nora Ellen Kennish came to school here from Bellevue. It was indeed Bellevue’s loss and Mound City’s gain! Although she is of short stature her speed and accuracy have made up for inches. She has lettered in basketball all four years of high school! She was a member of the Pep Club and has been very active in all school affairs. She was received the Curator’s Award. One of her fondest memories was her trig class with six boys and herself. Her favorite colors are olive green and brown. Her favorite food is her mother’s cinnamon rolls and lobster. Her warm and friendly personality will help her accomplish much in her chosen field. She plans to study medicine in the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Missouri at Columbia.—PA. |
