Terry E. Gilland |
|
One of the handsomest, most intelligent and popular of students and one of the best athletes of MCHS is Terry Gilland. Because of his good looks he was chosen to play “Lucifer” in the senior play. His looks also help with his hobby, girls. As to his intelligence, boy-e-e, he has been listed on the honor roll 13 quarters, has received a Curators Award and Scholarship, the Commerce Award, and the Mathematics Award. Due to his popularity, he is the senior class president and has been on the student council three years. With his personality he has accumulated many friends in many towns. His athletic ability is tops. He started this year in both football and basketball, has participated vigorously in both of these sports for four years and has lettered in both. Terry was born Aug. 31, 1947, in St. Joseph, MO, and attended MCHS all of his 12 years of school.; His fondest High School memories have been summer’s arrival, recess (in his earlier years), and the sound of the last bell which sounds the same as all of the other bells but sounds better to Terry. He plans to attend the University of Missouri.—JL. |
