Janie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Butcher, having blue eyes and blond hair, was born May 25, 1947.  She has played an active part in numerous activities including 4 years in FHA serving on various committees; four years of pep club, being vice president her senior year; four years of chorus; and accompanist for various solos and ensembles; singing in several ensembles; and going to state music contest two years.

Janie was a member of the student council her junior year and has received a school letter her junior and senior years. She was very pleased to receive a Curator’s Award and a University Scholarship at Oklahoma Baptist University where she plans to attend and major in music.

Her favorite songs are “Count Me In” and “Birds and the Bees”.  Foods are hamburgers and chocolate ice cream, and color is green.  Her fondest high school memories are the music contests at Maryville and Columbia, junior prom committee meetings, senior trip and Sneak Day. –JD.
